Picnicking:
One picnic area and one pavilion await visitors to Weedon Island Preserve. These areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please help us keep them enjoyable for all visitors by cleaning up and depositing trash in nearby trash receptacles.
- Please remember that alcoholic beverages, glass containers, pets and smoking are not permitted in the preserve.
Restrooms:
Public restrooms, available during preserve hours, are located at the fishing pier and the Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center. At the center, the exterior entrance to a unisex, handicap-accessible restroom, located on the west side of the building, is available during regular preserve hours. The center's interior public restrooms are located on the first floor and are accessible when the center is open.
Parking:
Visitors to Weedon Island Preserve can select between three different parking areas.
Please avoid parking alongside the road or on the grass. Our local native residents, such as gopher tortoises, often use the shoulders of roads and grassy areas as travel corridors between different habitats. Help us keep them safe by parking only in the designated areas.
The preserve closes before sunset, and overnight parking is not allowed. The license plate tags of any vehicle left in the parking lot after closing hours will be shared with local enforcement authorities.
