- Alliance for Weedon Island Archaeological Research and Education

The Alliance for Weedon Island Archaeological Research and Education (AWIARE) is a non-profit organization (501(c)3) that has as its goal to promote and facilitate long-term archaeological research, scientific exploration and public education at Weedon Island Preserve and the adjacent Gulf Coast region. AWIARE officers and advisory board include professional archaeologists and interested lay persons.
- Florida Public Archaeology Network, West Central Regional

The Florida Public Archaeology Network’s (FPAN) mission is to promote and facilitate the conservation, study and public understanding of Florida's archaeological heritage. FPAN is dedicated to the protection of cultural resources, both on land and underwater, and to involving the public in the study of their past. Regional centers around Florida serve as clearinghouses for information, institutions for learning and training, and headquarters for public participation in archaeology.
- Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network

The Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network (FYCCN) program is jointly sponsored by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Wildlife Foundation of Florida. It leads the effort to reconnect Florida's children with traditional outdoor activities. A statewide network of conservation centers, it is designed to encourage and empower kids to participate in traditional outdoor recreation. Experts teach children how to safely enjoy the outdoor heritage we have worked so hard to maintain. The FYCCN includes Wild Outdoor Hubs offering deep-woods experiences that connect to Near Outdoor Centers offering experiences closest to children in their everyday lives.
- Friends of Weedon Island, Inc.

Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. was established as a non-profit organization established in 1992 to engage in the conservation and protection of the Weedon Island Preserve. The mission of the Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. is to promote the public's understanding of maintaining the Weedon Island Preserve as an important ecological and cultural resource. The Friends accomplish this mission by supporting programs, activities and projects that contribute to these ends. The Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. remains dedicated to preservation and programs of the Weedon Island Preserve through a close working relationship with the Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources (PCR) to help sponsor key programs and events at the Preserve. The Friends of Weedon Island, Inc. is governed by Officers, an Executive Committee and Board of Directors, elected from the membership. Membership is available to all citizens and corporate sponsors who have an interest in working together for a common mission to preserve the history, cultural and environment of the Weedon Island Preserve.
