Volunteer Opportunities
The Weedon Island Preserve Cultural and Natural History Center depends on the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. If you enjoy meeting new people, learning about the environment or spending time outdoors, then we have an opportunity for you!
Join our volunteer team as a:
- Cultural and Natural History Center Docent – Greet visitors to the Center, answer general questions about the Preserve, exhibits and educational programs, and operate the Center's welcome desk. Also process the sale of merchandise for the Friends of Weedon Island's gift shop.
- Hike Guide – Lead tours for visitors that shares information about the flora, fauna, and history of Weedon Island.
- Program Leader – Assist in the hosting or coordination of educational programs or develop and lead a program of your own creation.
- Outreach Organizer – Represent the Center at community events by speaking with the public, setting up table displays, and distributing promotional materials.
Ready to volunteer? Please contact Center staff for more information.
